I’m currently working on illustrating and annotating the 6 or so different places I have lived over the last calendar year. Part of the project consists of the view I had from each location.
When I first moved to Seattle, I lived on 14th & East John in a basement that opened up into a beautiful grass lawn. Aptly situated with a Civil War style defensive setup that was eventually named McConnell’s Mound and where Sean Morrow and I planned our defensive zombie invasion strategy. I believe I spent almost every evening lying in that lawn watching the summer sunset and planes coming and going, imagining where the people were flying to and what stories they could share or the untold adventures that were before them.
